Feasibility Study for the Establishment of a Microfinance Institution

The South African subsidiary of Commerzbank AG (one of Germany’s largest commercial banks) commissioned LFS Financial Systems to assess the feasibility of establishing a new specialised microfinance institution (MFI) in South Africa. The MFI would focus on providing credit and other financial services to micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) and the general lower-income population. The mandate included also the development of a business plan for the proposed MFI.
