Prefeasibility Study on the Argentine Microfinance Sector

In 2001, LFS carried out a study on the Argentinean microfinance sector. The objective of was to assess the feasibility of the establishment of a commercially oriented microfinance institution in Argentina.

In the course of this study, we analysed the demand and supply for micro loans in Argentina.  Also, we reviewed the operating environment for microfinance institutions (MFIs) and assessed the constraints that impede an expanded delivery of microfinance services in Argentina.
