Strengthen Credit Business and Credit Risk Management in Agriculture and MSE Finance

LFS has been hired by a financial institution to develop its credit risk management and agent model for agriculture finance and MSE finance. The MFI has been active in microfinance since 2012 and has started agriculture finance in 2016. LFS is supporting the institution in strengthening its institutional capacity by training specialized agricultural loan officers, improving the methods of financial analysis and risk assessment. The Consultant is currently reviewing the agent model with the objective to enhance its setup. After establishing a pilot project in one city in order to facilitate the selection and training of staff, the operations will be expanded to the other cities the MFI is operating in.
